Payments

To sell paid products, connect a payment provider in your organization settings. Attendees pay by card or wallet through Stripe, or by manual payment such as a bank transfer. You can offer one or both. Free tickets need no payment provider.

Stripe

Open Settings in your organization and choose "Connect Stripe". Stripe asks for details about your business, such as its government identifier and who owns it.

In-person payments

Klipspringer supports Stripe Terminal for payments at the box office and on kiosks. You'll need to purchase a card reader from Stripe directly.

Smart readers, such as the S700 and WisePOS E, connect over the internet. To add one, enter the code it shows in the "Card readers" tab. Bluetooth readers will connect through Klipspringer Helper.

On a phone that supports Tap to Pay, Helper can take payments without needing a dedicated reader.

Currency conversion

Warning

Klipspringer isn't liable for incorrect conversion rates or for changes in rates.

With currency conversion on, attendees pay in their local currency at a rate from Stripe. Klipspringer locks the rate for 1 hour during checkout. You choose whether you pay the conversion fee or the attendee does.

Refunds

You can refund single items from a Stripe payment. The money returns to the attendee's original payment method.

Manual payment

Manual payment is for manual payments, such as bank transfers, money orders, and checks. Klipspringer wil give the attendee a reference number to include with their payment. When you get the payment, you'll need to go back and mark it as paid.

Refunds

You can refund single items from a manual payment, but Klipspringer can't send the money because it is a manual payment. You will need to refund the money yourself, and then mark it as refunded in the dashboard.
