Tickets¶
A ticket admits one attendee. Most tickets belong to a ticket tier, but members can also get in with a membership. Klipspringer issues tickets as PDFs, as Google Wallet passes, and on NFC cards.
Ticket page¶
Each attendee has a ticket page on your event site. From there, they can print out their PDF ticket or add it to their mobile wallet.
PDF tickets¶
Attendees can print a PDF ticket before they arrive. You can design the layout in the built-in drag-and-drop editor, with your own images, text, and variables. Examples of variables include attendee's name or ticket tier.
Google Wallet¶
Klipspringer issues Google Wallet passes by default. To change the promoter name, hero image, or colors, open Settings in your event and choose Branding.
Each pass shows a QR code for staff to scan. Klipspringer also sends notifications through Google Wallet. Read Notifications for more details.
Google Wallet passes also support Smart Tap. You'll need to obtain a certified reader through us, but, they will work with Klispringer Helper out of the box.
Apple Wallet isn't available yet.
NFC cards¶
Klipspringer supports MIFARE DESFire EV2, DESFire EV3, and Ultralight AES cards. DESFire is more secure and costs more. For example, a one-day festival that hands out thousands of wristbands might choose Ultralight AES, and a venue issuing year-long memberships might choose DESFire.
Each card holds keys unique to it, so a copied card doesn't work. Staff assign a card to an attendee at check-in or at the point of sale, mark a card as lost, and erase a card to reuse it. Klipspringer avoids permanent changes to a card. Reading and assigning cards requires Klipspringer Helper.
Transfers¶
If you allow it, attendees can send a ticket to someone else.
