Kiosks

This article is a stub. It will be updated as more information comes out.

A kiosk is a device where attendees can buy and print tickets without needing a cashier. A kiosk runs in a web browser or in the Klipspringer Helper app. To set one up, go to the "Kiosks" tab in your event to start.

Security

Each kiosk device is configured with its own PIN. To leave the kiosk, hold the top-left corner of the screen for 3 seconds, then enter the PIN. You may also unlock a device from the dashboard should you forget the PIN.

You should also lock it using your device's settings to prevent people from exiting the app easily.

  1. Open your Settings app and go to Accessibility → Guided Access.
  2. Turn on "Guided Access"
  3. Set passcode for Guided Access.
  4. Open the Klipspringer Helper app
  5. Click the home or side button three times
  6. Click "Start" on Guided Access

Android

The app will ask you if you wish to set the kiosk as the home screen. This is optional.

macOS, Windows, and Linux

You should consult your operating system's manual on kiosk support.

Items for sale

Choose the tickets and add-ons the kiosk sells from the "What attendees can buy" section in Kiosks. Products that need staff approval cannot be sold in the kiosk.

Accessibility

Accessibility is a key feature of the Kiosk and does not require TalkBack or VoiceOver, as it is built into the application. It has support for high contrast, an audio guide, inverted colors, larger text, magnification, and can enable extra time for checkouts. These settings will reset when the next person starts their transaction

To enable the audio guide, you can touch and hold the screen for 2 seconds to turn it on.

Audio guide

Dragging a finger across the screen will allow you to hear the item under your finger. Double tapping anywhere will allow you to choose the last item you heard. Swiping left or right will allow you to move between items.

When the audio guide is on, the seat picker will open in list view.
